“During this back-to-school season, each student brings memories and experiences from their summer—some positive, some challenging.

Handle with Care is an innovative program that the TBI and local partners are working to implement statewide. Its mission is to connect first responders with school district staff if there has been an emergency response and a student may have been impacted.

The only information given is Name, School, and Grade paired with the simple message- Handle “this student” with Care.

We are grateful for the work of our first responders and school district staff, who create a safe, supportive environments no matter what the student is experiencing.”
